What a day

Today reminds me of how amazing being a mother of twins is! Kate and Wright being our first children Will and I don't know any different so I am very used to the fast pace of two babies. I often comment that it seems that they do so much so quickly and I worry that I may miss something. This has been one of those weeks..today especially!

Wright cut another tooth sometime on Wednesday...I noticed it when we got home from the beach and he was upset and needed hugs. I truly think it cut on the way home because he seemed uncomfortable...I was never really sure how a tooth cut it just seems to appear in the morning after a few drooly days.

He is moving and fast...goes from point A to B and puts his mouth on anything in between.

Today Kate and Wright went on their first boat ride! Page and Chris took us out for a few hours and although it started out a bit rocky after a few minutes they were both fast asleep and enjoying the wind in their faces. Afterwards we spent some time with the Dinkins and Palmers (had a great family vacation!!) before they all head home. When Wright woke from his afternoon nap I went into the nursery to find him sitting up in his crib! He can now move into a sitting position from laying down. And then...when putting him to bed he looked at Will and plain as day says "Dada" It was so sweet and I could tell melted Will's heart.
Kate seeing all the moving is now pulling herself to the all 4's position...wow they grow so quickly!

I have attached a video of Wright giggling at Camden. We really had a great visit this past week with all the family and enjoyed seeing all the kids together. They were all so sweet and helpful with Kate and Wright. Camden is 1 year older than them and both Wright and Kate thought he was pretty special!

Where does the time go?

Happy Father's Day Will!

We are enjoying visiting with family this week on Isle of Palms! Great picture of all the kids
Madi, Caroline, Gracie, Camden, Kate, Jackson, Wright and Sarah Anne

8 months old today...I look at Kate and Wright and I am amazed at how quickly they are growing, amazed at their personalities and development and amazed that they are mine.
They are so much fun and it seems that they do something new daily!

What they enjoy:
Kate continues to roll her ankles when she is happy, restless and almost always when she is sitting. She has started to enjoy jumping and jumps off her toes. (See video below) She has the sweetest spirit and is quite reserved until her brother pulls her hair. She is starting to enjoy food much more. She is not yet crawling, but has started moving more and watches Wright as he arches and bends to get where and to what he wants. Kate makes the sweetest noises when she is excited, grins in front of a mirror, giggles when being tickled and has learned peekaboo. She now has two bottom teeth and is working on a few more!

Wright still loves to jump, he loves to eat and he is wide open! Always smiling and moving. Has started his version of crawling which is using his arms and legs to get from one location to the next, but not the conventional way of all 4's. He likes to take toys from Kate and pull her ear and hair. He sometimes seems fascinated by her and other times acts as if she isn't around. He loves to laugh and has the sweetest giggle...very contagious! He is also sweet and gives the best snuggles. We keep hearing what sounds like dada...I am working on mama with both of them!
He now has 7 teeth!! 4 up top and 3 bottom.

I fed them yogurt for the first time today and they loved it! Happy 8 months Kate and Wright!
